During the initial visit, the sales representative advised that we would be able to choose between pins or swivel clips for the fixed window fly screens and that both options could be reviewed on installation day. Unfortunately, this did not occur. Pins were installed without discussion, even after we asked the installer about the alternative swivel clips.
There was also a metal rail on our large sliding door that the sales representative indicated could be trimmed so the retractable fly screen would fit neatly. Instead, the installer removed the rail entirely, explaining that it could not be cut. This has resulted in additional repainting work that we were hoping to avoid.
Additionally, we were advised by the sales rep that the retractable fly screen would sit flush behind the wooden door frame. In reality, the retractable frame protrudes by several inches, which now partially obstructs our window view.
We raised these concerns with the installer, who advised that they would be passed on to the sales representative and that we would be contacted. Unfortunately, this follow-up has not occurred.
Given the cost of the installation, we expected clearer communication and better alignment between what was promised during quoting and what was delivered during installation. I share this feedback in the hope it helps improve the experience for future customers.
